The Business of ART

Years ago when I was just beginning to re-create my life I learned to paint mandalas. These are intuitive creations that come from the soul and often tend to evolve of themselves over time. I never know what I’m going to paint when I begin, and sometimes I don’t even understand the symbology that I use in my paintings until later. Mandalas hold the frequency of the painter and the inspiration that comes through the painter. I love the process and have guided others create beautiful mandalas – even those who have never held a paintbrush in their hands. [The mandala shown is entitled Mardi Gras Celebration!! and I painted it as I was first connecting with my life partner. It radiates my excitement, joy, and the authentic and loving ME that was and continues to evolve in our relationship. Each circle is outlined in beads gathered from the real New Orleans celebration, and the overlapping hearts in the center were originally a decorative pin made from Mardi Gras costumes. As I was zooming through e-mails yesterday I noticed one of interest about an upcoming smARTist Tele-Summit. It begins tomorrow and offers panels of experts discussing how to best run an ART business and market one’s works. I know some of the panelists from social networking and other venues. Each afternoon for seven days there will be calls with presentations by people discussing all of the aspects around the Art of Business of ART.  ;-))

I signed up and expect I will listen to some of the calls LIVE and listen to recordings of the others. If you think this may be of interest to you or someone you know, go to: http://is.gd/fW0z for more information and to register. The fee is less than the panelists usually charge for one hour of coaching, so it is well worth the cost. I’m sure every participant will benefit from attending the calls, and I’m really looking forward to it!!  [Even though it begins tomorrow and the sign-up page says that it may be too late to register, it really is NOT too late because you can listen to the recordings of anything you miss, and the calls go on until late next week.]
