Protecting Your Subconscious Mind

Whenever you think a thought, encounter an idea, react to outside stimulation, your subconscious mind says “Yes!”, and jots that down to your experience. If you watch a scary movie, read a tear-jerker book, empathize with a loved one, your inner mind claims that as your own experience and places your reaction into your inner emotional archives. If you have ever experienced trauma, then your subconscious attempts to hide that away so that it ceases to hurt, and at the same time it creates a protection mechanism within your inner beliefs that will keep you from ever coming close to re-experiencing that pain again.

Let me explain this in another way. When you were born you created a body based on the DNA of your parents. Included in and around that body is an electro-magnetic field that resonates with the coding of the DNA you have inherited. You constantly add your own experiences to this electro-magnetic field, and as you do, your vibrational frequency shifts. Based on physics and the laws of resonance, when one thing vibrates at a certain frequency it automatically attracts other things vibrating at the same frequency.

We pick up frequencies from others. (Have you ever entered a room where someone is in a horrible mood? How did that affect your mood?)

And, we attract others who show up with the same frequencies as our own. (Do you ever feel that those closest to you are “mirrors” of you?)

We also attract cycles of events. (I have cleared clients who have had multiple car accidents, who keep attracting the same kind of abusive relationships, who have lost multiple jobs, etc.)

So, here are some basic tips to remember…

Love Our Nation & Our Planet!

PatrioticTomorrow is Independence Day in the USA. As a little girl I remember the parades we would have every year on this day – led by my grandfather, and followed by all of us, dressed in red, white, & blue, and waving little flags. It was always a fun & very patriotic occasion, as my family truly loves our country.

Working for many years in international relations and communication, I realize that each nation has its blessings as well as its weaknesses. Each country on earth shares space on a delicate planet that we must remember to respect. So, on this weekend to celebrate in the USA, I urge us ALL to take note of all that we have to be grateful for – wherever we live, and identify how we can make this next year one of taking more conscious care of our beautiful planet.

Consciousness and sustainability must begin at home… and then it filters out through our country and then into the rest of the world. So, will you join me in thanking our planet for her great abundance and patience with us as we learn to better support her? Have a fun weekend, and enjoy mindfulness while you are at it!  ;-)

Glorious Springtime! I Am Manifesting It!

Have you ever thought of life as your own private video with you being the only real person and everyone else just acting around you? It is a different paradigm way of looking at your life and accepting responsibility for all that is in it. Try it sometime to create a different perspective!

In my own life I often think this way and identify what I’d like to change. I let go of old feelings of powerlessness long ago (although I’m not yet perfect so this exercise is still helpful), and so I focus on my video and set about “tweaking” things that are a little “off”.

This year spring is early and follows a fun winter – for me at least. It snowed numerous times, and even though I was stuck on my mountaintop in the ice, I still had electricity, telephone, internet and was happy like a little awestruck kid as I took long walks in the snow and made snow icecream. I realize others were hassled by the cold temperatures and snow, however they were not in my video!

Now spring has arrived in the mountains and it is absolutely heavenly! Wherever I look there are blossoms and flowers. My yard is the prettiest one in the neighborhood – not because I planted all of the fruit trees, bulbs, roses, and other decorative plants, but because I manifested this house and yard and my wonderous view. It was exactly what I wanted, so it is in my video.

Springtime Below

As I look down from my wonderful mountaintop I see the beautiful pastoral scene shown here nestled in-between the forest and ridges. And in the distance I see the largest undeveloped wilderness east of the Mississippi River. You see that above on my blog banner – with the summer solstice sun setting behind the Cohutta Wilderness and Blue Ridge Mountains fifty miles away. Right now the entire view is a fairyland of new leaves, blossoms, buds of all colors, shapes, textures. Just like an artist’s pallet. Nature is creating her world for the new season just as I continue to create my world – day by day.

I’m so glad you could stop by and visit my video today… not a youtube or on-line video, but my life video… where you are my wonderful viewers and players, as I act on my own stage of life! I’m having fun!

Taking Conscious Responsibility for Our Feelings

“If you feel it, then it is in you.”

I first heard this phrase in the late 1980′s during a short intro seminar presented by Dr. Michael Ryce in Charlotte, North Carolina. When I heard this comment and the conversation around it I was forever healed of all sense of victimhood that I might have carried with me from my previous life. His easy forgiveness process helped me to start peeling off the onion of old hurts as I realized that everyone involved had merely done the best they could do, and if I was still feeling hurt, then it was up to me to clear that emotion and then move on with my life.

Dr. Ryce’s processes are potent, easy, teachable, and can be found in his 1997 book Why is This Happening To Me… Again?! I’ve run into Michael several times over the years. He is quite a scholar and earth steward. He commits his work to “The restoration of Total Love to every mind and relationship on the planet,” or more simply put, all of his tools and his book “support the healing of ourselves, each other, and the planet”.

To learn more about Dr. Michael Ryce, his retreat center Heartland, and to receive your own free electronic download of Dr. Ryce’s text you may go to: http://www.whyagain.com (available in six languages).

I know that in the late 1980′s early 1990′s Michael’s work helped my marriage dramatically and also helped me to heal some issues with my parents. I was using the forgiveness process – now dubbed the “No Fault Empowerment Tools” (found on pages 182-3) before I learned of Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) or Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). So, while I was able to realize and clear some of the issues that I discovered through Michael’s work – just through the understanding of the underlying cause for my feelings, I later utilized NET and EFT to make sure that all emotional residue was gone – forever!

Conscious Alignment

For many years I have worked in Corporate America using and developing innovative tools to support Spirit in Business. Conscious Alignment is definitely something that benefits everyone within a business – at all levels.

Conscious Alignment is a part of the Aligned Management Program that I have developed for conscious businesses, and you may read an article about this at: http://www.arielagroup.com/spirit_in_business/articles/conscious_alignment.html  to learn some basics.

This Conscious Alignment model is wonderful in its ability to support individuals in their own conscious transformation as well as their teams, departments, divisions, and the entire organization. It is appropriate for organizations and their leaders who truly wish for conscious transformation and the creation of resonance within their organizations. There are a variety of “training” or “organizational & team development” tools that I incorporate into this process, and I support these with energetic tools such as Emotional Freedom Technique/ EFT. I find that this simple-to-use tool greatly supports individuals to clear all resistance and blocks to teammates, their environment, projects, tasks, direction from superiors, just among many other business issues.

For this concept to work the bottom line is that the leaders must really want to change so that the entire organization comes into alignment and all involved share a co-creative resonant field. These leaders must be strong, committed, ready & willing to change, able to allow those not aligned to leave the organization (including some vendors & customers at times). If they truly want conscious alignment, then they will be rewarded beyond what can be imagined, however there must be a strong commitment.

Letting go of the Old to Make Room for the New

After thirty years I sold a bicycle that I bought as an undergraduate in college. That bike had been my freedom, my mode of transportation, my vehicle away from the pressures of my studies, and my way to fly through the air at great speeds. It had been stolen once and I had flipped over the handlebars at least twice into traffic. I loved that bike.

But, after not using it for several years it was not doing me any good, and the disuse was hard on the tires and brakes. I posted it for sale and got a prospective buyer who was coming to see it. I decided to take the bike out for a last spin around the neighborhood. Oh my. The memories, the speed, the wind in my face, the feeling of freedom. Did I really wish to give up this wonderful flying machine? Well, yes. It was dangerous. The brakes didn’t work well and I wasn’t quite as limber as when I used to ride it everywhere on that big campus. I supposed that the young man who was buying it would fix it up and enjoy it. I let it go.

That day it really impacted me what a strong hold an item like that had on me. It was full of thirty years of happy, sad, frustrated, tired, confused, inspired, feelings and memories. As I let it go I felt that I was letting go of a great load of emotions with it. I was glad that I sold it and soon found a newer bike that would serve me.

Yesterday I sold my favorite car. It was a top of the line cadillac – my old executive car. It had memories, status, great meaning to me. It was in very good condition and the only reason I let it go was that I just bought a car from my father with less mileage. My car was prettier, cleaner, easier to drive, faster, more deluxe. My new vehicle is four-wheel drive, which I need in the mountains, and will serve me well with its low mileage and good maintenance record. I’m liking it more and more each day.

That didn’t make it any easier to let go of that car of my dreams, however. It took awhile of talking to myself and to the car, and then we manifested just the right buyer. The younger woman who bought it will be very happy with it, and my car will serve her well. She will feel good driving that luxury vehicle, and it will keep her and her family safe. This time I prepared and was glad to let go of my sweet car and allow it to take care of this new family. And still, I did feel a few pangs of nostalgia in letting it go.

I know one thing. Every time I let go of something a vacuum is created and something better comes to me in its place. And, in letting go of the older vehicle – full of memories of who I used to be, Director of Training & Development, consultant, trainer, chamber of commerce president, economic development commission chair, etc., now I can be more of who I am now – without looking back or replaying the old stories. This feels good. I can be in better alignment now. I am grateful!

Speeding Forward, Aligned with My Values!

I love to use the phrase “flowing forward”, and even entitled an e-book using these terms, however, I feel that the time since the Holidays have ended and the New Year has taken off has definitely been “speeding” as well as “flowing” for me!

Wow! I’ve done so much already, and there is so much more awaiting my attention in January, 2010!

I have realized that 2009 was a “busy” year of getting things ready to flow – and soar! And, 2010 is going to be a wonderful “harvest” year for me – and for many others too, it seems!

I realize that this is life – not school with homework every night. It is a time to stand by my values of doing what makes me smile – not just keep myself busy doing what needs to get done. I know I can better control these “needs” and “shoulds” so that I will allow myself  regular daily play-time, and enjoy it!

If you are wondering what you really feel is important in your life now - on a very deep level – so that you  can start to live a life more aligned with your values, then you may want to listen to the EFT TAPshops recording related to aligning values. You may find that at: http://is.gd/6pBBn  .

In the meantime, I DO want to wish all readers the best for 2010! I personally expect it will be a very good year for me in so many ways, and I am creating the inner and outer processes now to make it so!

Winter Solstice Thoughts…

Today is the Winter Solstice – the shortest daylight of the year here in the northern hemisphere, and tonight will be the longest night of the year on our half of the planet. This is a wonderful time of year to go within – into the darkness – and determine what the next year will bring with its light.

Quiet time to go within...

Quiet time to go within...

Years ago I contacted a friend on Winter Solstice just to say Hi.  He and I ended up starting a romantic relationship that was a wonderful learning opportunity for me during that next year. I often host or attend parties on Winter Solstice where we write down the things we would like to clear from the old year, and the desires and intentions we are setting for the new year. A burning ceremony sometimes sends these written thoughts into the ethers as ash and fire.

This year, after much concentration, I have just completed a new website, the creation of several new training programs for 2010, as well as a new affiliate program. These took much introspection, time, teamwork, and patience. I think that today is the perfect day to send out this new energy into the cycles and networks where the right people will receive the information. I didn’t really plan it to be this way, but it really seems perfect now that the busy-work is finally finished!  (If you are interested in information about this, you can look for it in tomorrow’s blog… today is about the wonderful opportunity of the Solstice!)

Tonight I think I will share a quiet dinner with Martin and talk about this last year, what we have accomplished, what we have learned, what we have had to postpone, what we want to clear to make room for new intentions. We will also talk about our dreams for the next year and will set some desires into the energy of life. The details will come later, but this will be a good time to share our individual and combined dreams as the light begins to come back to our half of the planet starting tomorrow.

Change: Endings and New Beginnings…

On this date, December 17, a number of years ago, I left my old life and ventured into the unknown. It was very difficult for me. I was being urged by my soul, and still the fear was almost unbearable. I was unhappy and alone for months after that important move, and gradually I re-created my life to eventually lead me to the now that I am living much more authentically and happily than before.

Today is the perfect day to launch a new phase in my new life, and that is what I will share with you below, but it is also a celebration of the ending of life for a friend who died last weekend. Jack was always authentic to me. He told me what made him happy, what made him mad. He shared his thoughts and his passions. He didn’t just talk about what made him smile – he lived his life fully, and died being his full active self… he was only 56. We will miss him and I’ll take my flute to his memorial because he so loved when we played music at night around the campfire.

Whenever there is change something is let go of as something new is chosen. This crossroads of leaving the comfort of the past and moving into the unknown of the future is often unnerving. Sometimes it takes us humans a bit of time to shift gears, but we are resilient critters and we soon are able to look at the benefits of the decisions we have made for ourselves.

It is my opinion that the scariest kind of change is the change that is un-planned and sudden. Like the sudden death of a loved one. If we can consciously change, then the unknown holds less fear for us.

On that note I’d like to share that it is time to launch some changes in the programs that I am offering to you. I have let go of the slower-paced series and replaced them with shorter more intensive programs for targeted audiences who want advanced-level deep shifts to happen in their lives and practices.

Advanced Living and Loving: is a three-month program that speaks to a wide audience of those who wish to REALLY transform their lives for the better using wholistic energy therapy tools including EFT. It is starting in January 2010 and enrollment is determined via interview/coaching session. The techniques covered in this program will go way beyond traditional EFT and MTT tools, and will guide you to identify and balance your deepest values, clear self-sabotaging patterns, vision and create that life you most desire.

Going Deeper with Your Clients: is a highly specialized three-month program just for coaches, therapists, and wellness practitioners of all kinds. It is starting in early February, 2010, and enrollment is done via interview. This program offers support and new tools so that every coach, therapist, wellness practitioner will be able to go deeper with their clients to clear blockages, pain, emotional discomfort. I will provide the “secret tools” for participants to excel beyond past levels in their practices.

Today I am also launching an affiliate program for The Ariela Group of Wholistic Services, where my friends, colleagues, readers like you, can benefit from helping me to share information about these new programs. The affiliate link can be found at the bottom of each web page.

Some people may believe that after almost thirty years of training, coaching, working with clients, that all of this would be second nature to me. But change of any kind takes some getting used to. In preparing the high calibre programs that I am sharing above I have walked through the layers of my own fears, and now am ready to share strategies that absolutely will support conscious change… I know, because I had to test them on myself first. And, this all started on December 17th so many years ago.

Conscious Balance in Business with Spirit!

When I focus on transformation and conscious living I can look back at my own career. When I was in my 20’s with a fresh new MS degree, working toward my Ph.D., I was hired by a consortium of twenty-four corporations and colleges/universities to create an international training institute where I reported to the CEO’s and college presidents and stayed within a set budget. That was a major undertaking for a young person like me.

Under pressure to create everything from scratch, I wore many different hats, and I didn’t wear them all very well or with conscious balance. At that time I built my “empire” where I hired and managed seventeen employees, most older than I, and I created all of the systems for the institute: marketing & PR, curriculum, faculty & staff, student affairs, etc. Recruiting was also my job, and the institute depended on my abilities to communicate to international embassies and agencies and create trust so that they would send their vulnerable students to me to train, nurture, and protect.

Some of the tasks set before me created great stress in my life, and others were more fun. I worked hard and managed with a strong hand. I yearned for more inner peace and balance, and I earned lots of money. I enjoyed my personal relations with some of the students and staff, however there was often a separation in me between my head and heart. I have learned through the years to re-connect these parts of myself so that I can live and work more consciously and take more Spirit into business.

Today I enjoy my peaceful life and I have great passion for supporting my coaching and energy therapy clients with open heart energy and a myriad of tools that I share. At the same time I am happy to hire the younger people who have more fire and passion for marketing to help me in this area. My intention is to create an even balance that will support a conscious business with Spirit, and show the greatest results.

On this note, I am currently looking for a savvy experienced VA team of like-minded “whiz kids”, who will put fire into my business marketing so that I can get the word out about my wonderful coaching and energy therapy services. This will allow me to put all of my energy into my work with clients – where I am now most comfortable and most consciously in balance in my life! If you know of a good candidate VA firm, please feel free to send me the referral. I know exactly what I want and am looking forward to taking my conscious business to its next level with the help of the “right” team around me! I can be contacted at: http://www.arielagroup.com/contact .
