The Dangers of Drinking Fluoride in Your Water
If you live in a city or grew up in or near one using municipal water, then there is a good chance that you have drunk fluoride in your water at some time. If you don’t already know, there are some dangers in using fluoride, that used to be believed to support dental health. Now, more and more studies show that the fluoride used in water systems is a toxin and actually does not help with your teeth or gums, and in fact, may harm you in many other ways.
I’m blessed to have good well water at my home and in my community. And, when I visit any large metropolis and find myself drinking regular tap water at a restaurant or the home of a friend or relative, I notice some major changes in my body. My body starts to smell different. I often suffer from severe joint pain as well as gastro-intestinal issues. My teeth and gums sometime ache. And, I often succumb to a cold, where I am usually very healthy and not prone to do this when in my own community. I also notice that I’m always thirsty and I hate the taste of the tap water. I usually land somewhere and immediately buy several gallons of good spring/ reverse osmosis water to drink during my visit. This seems to take care of the issue

Secrets to Eternal Wellness & Aging Beautifully
Some frequently asked questions in our society today include:
- “Why do some people fight their weight while others easily stay slim?”
- “Why do some military members sent into war zones return with PTSD/Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, while others don’t?”
- “Why do some people age gently while others seem ravaged by time and gravity?”
- “Why do certain seemingly healthy people end up dying of cancer, heart attack, or some other disease or condition?”
I’d like to address here the common denominators that tie all of these critical questions into one body of information – 1- good nutrition and 2- emotional energy management!
You have probably heard the phrase: “You are what you eat”, so it seems logical that as more GMO/genetically modified (and often side-effect un-tested) foodstuffs are introduced, longer shelf-life additives are placed into processed foods, and non-digestible oils are utilized in cooking, that our bodies would suffer in one way or another. I recommend using organic, natural foods that can be found on the outside perimeters of the supermarket, and staying away from processed and refined foods.
Even though science has found ways to replicate the chemical structure of certain nutritional elements, the body may not actually recognize them because this form is not found naturally, nor are the chemicals introduced in balance with other nutrients that the body requires for proper digestion and absorption. The diet we eat and the nutritional supplements that we choose must be based on natural foods, and the purer the better.
Our physical in-take is vitally important to all of the issues listed above. With good nutrition and diet we are a step ahead of any stressor, including age, gravity, stress, and war. And, if we utilize good diet and nutrition then our bodies will:
- respond better to maintain the “right” weight,
- age more gracefully,
- provide clear thinking in stressful situations, and
- stay healthy without succumbing to the killer degenerative diseases of our day: heart disease, cancer, diabetes, arthritis, auto-immune disorders, among others.
The physical body is the part of our WHOLE self that is mostly considered when we focus on health, well-being, and aging. As an energy therapist coach, I focus first on the energetic or emotional elements that shape the physical. When these are addressed and managed, then the physical body can heal. Let us look at some examples.
Studies now point to why some war veterans suffer from PTSD while others don’t. Approximately one third suffer because early in life these individuals suffered or took on some emotional trauma and held that in their subconscious biofield. The war experience is hypothesized to have amped up the original and added more trauma to an already sensitized person. PTSD takes on many forms and has been proven to be cleared using energy psychology approaches.
In cases of weight struggles, beyond food allergies or sensitivities that might cause high or low weigh problems, emotions and subconscious blocks are often the culprits causing the suffering of so many over- or under-weight people. If you have ever felt like a “victim” to your body, then there may be an emotional issue keeping you blocked from weighing your ideal weight. This, too, is an area where you can learn to utilize simple-to-use energy therapy tools to clear subconscious resistance so that you can attain the body of your desires.
And, what about the people who truly believe that by age 40, 50, 60, or beyond, they have reached “old age” and need to start acting and looking like that. How many people do you know who are traumatized by these “landmark” birthdays, and then face a “mid-life” or “later-life” crisis with dramatic lifestyle changes? If the inner beliefs about becoming old could be erased, then one would live on with the excitement, enthusiasm, and health of a person much younger than their age. The GOOD news is that inner beliefs CAN be changed or modified so that you re-create your reality to that of your highest desires… you just need to WANT to do that.

Ho’oponopono and the state of Pure Potentiality
I often talk about re-claiming one’s state of Pure Potentiality. Deepak Chopra talks about this state in his work, and Dr. Hew Len also speaks about it – in association with using the technique Ho’oponopono to clear out “data” that disrupts and keeps our perception clouded so that we are blocked from connecting with the pure universal abundance all around us and our innate operating state of pure potentiality.
My definition would be that Ho’oponopono is a Hawaiian energy or data clearing modality that helps to clear your “creator perception” in order for you to see pure potentiality. You may use your own words and relate to your own perception as you watch the short video here. Reclaim Your Power!
Think of your life and where you truly have power over it.
So many people now are feeling powerless, so this is a good exercise to shift your energy and your vibration.
In the field of basic energy therapy, we urge clients to control their thoughts… and this is not always an easy task. Why? Here is a list of reasons it might be difficult to exert power over your conscious mind:
- You ate something that has caused a chemical imbalance that is pulling you into a blue funk,
- You listened to the global or even local news, and it is all “gloom & doom”,
- You watched a movie or TV show and experienced an emotional reaction as you were watching and empathizing with the characters,
- Your subconscious mind is pushing up resistance and holding you back from healthy, joyful thinking,
- You are taking on the negativity of your surroundings or others around you,
- You have a detrimental habit of worrying and thinking of the “worst case scenario”,
- You believe that you must solve all of the problems and control all outcomes in life,
- You have not learned to quiet your mind and surrender to a higher vibration,
- You have given in to fear rather than taken your power from love,
- You don’t believe you have the power inside of you…
My suggestions to you are the following:
- Take time each morning to make a list of everything in your life that is going well. Make a gratitude list or keep a gratitude journal.
- End each day with thoughts of gratitude as you go over your day and identify what worked, what was beneficial to you, and for what you are grateful.
- Just doing the above two steps will raise your vibration – at least twice a day!… and you can do this whenever during your day that you start feeling in a “funk”.
- Know that there are a couple of things in your life that you CAN control. These include what you put into your mouth and the amount of exercise you provide to your body. You may make conscious living choices in these two areas of your life. You can “feng shui” your life and change some old habits, patterns, ways of doing things, so that you feed yourself health and well-being and support your body to be healthy. These are ways you can re-claim power.
- And, any time you feel yourself losing personal power you can tap between your breasts – on your heart chakra and thymus point (from the cleavage area down… vertically) and breathe out the restriction, frustration, fear, doubt, as you breathe in and feel LOVE for yourself, your body, your skills, your life blessings. Infuse yourself with LOVE and you will immediately feel more empowered!
So, I highly endorse reclaiming your power… on a daily and hourly basis! It is up to you to hold your vibration high – because nobody else will do it for you!
Let’s all hold a “good vibe!”
Holding the Positive Polarity
As we listen to daily news reports from all over the planet we are constantly bombarded by news, advertisements, biased editorials, and editorialized predictions. Any and all of these can cause stress, fear, upset, nervousness.
This week there is news of the Japan earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear power plant issues. Yes, all of this news does impact many people in Japan and elsewhere, however, what good can focusing on the negatives do for the planet – and for YOU?
I remember the morning when the World Trade Center was hit. I was called by two friends who told me verbally what was going on. I heard the news and then went to meditate and pray. I did not run to the television set because I did not wish to add negative energy and fear to the focus that was already there. I also chose to hold a positive polarity instead of being pulled into the negativity that the terrorist perpetrators wanted to instill in everyone. I focused my energy on ministering distance energy therapy to those at the scene. I used to visit NYC regularly and had visited the World Trade Center for special occasions – going to the top Windows on the World restaurant. Throughout the days of horrendous happenings not only did I feel that I was helping to dispel the negativity at the site, but I was also keeping my own personal vibration high so that I could help to hold the balance between positive and negative vibrations for the planet.
At this time of minute-to-minute news reports from Japan, it is a good opportunity for us all to practice holding our vibrations high. Imagine that all of the nuclear reactors are cooling off rather than melting down. Imagine that the relief effort is moving forward smoothly and rapidly, that the weather is becoming milder, that water and food is available to the refugees, that radiation evacuees can return home and then open their doors to neighbors who have lost their homes in the tsunami. Imagine the BEST rather than the worst. If enough of us do this, then we CAN make a difference and change the outcomes.
So, focus on what CAN happen rather than the “gloom & doom” predictions of anybody in the limelight with an opinion. Focus on feeling safe and happy in your own life, and bring in gratitude for the life, freedoms, comforts, daily commodities that we so often take for granted. In raising our own vibrational level through feeling gratitude we can make a difference in the “reality” that unfolds before us.
I choose to feel good things… and to send good energy! So, I suggest that you consider this too!
Happy Thanksgiving – Gift!

Music and the Subconscious Mind
Years ago I considered earning my graduate degrees in music therapy. As a professional musician I have always been acutely aware of the impact of music on my mood, my thought patterns, my subconscious mind. Although my academic training took a different path, I’ve studied various approaches to using music and sound as therapy, and find the impact to be quite beneficial in my own life and that of my clients.
Author, musician, and neuroscientist, Daniel Levitin has written several books focused on musical perception and cognition. Two of these which might be of interest are: This Is Your Brain on Music, and The World in Six Songs.
Where I tend to focus on the sounds and styles of music and their impacts on emotions, Mr. Levitin, in his second book focuses on the evolutionary hardwiring of the brain and the way songs with lyrics have “been there to guide the development of human nature.” Some evolutionary scientists have dismissed music as an ultimately disposable “extra”, however Levitin stresses that natural selection has favored “musical brains” from the beginning. He goes on to say that music has been the energetic that has helped humans to live together, and that songs can be divided among six different categories that speak to human life and consciousness:
- Friendship
- Joy
- Comfort
- Knowledge
- Religion
- Love
Beyond the interesting anecdotes and examples for each of the categories, Levitin goes on to cite recent scientific studies of the brain. He discusses the relationship between playing and listening to music, and the release of hormones including dopamine, oxytocin, and seratonin. He supports what I’ve always suspected when he says “song activates more regions of the brain than anything else that we know”. This is why it is so important for us to continue using music in our lives as we grow older, so that the brain remains active and agile. I’ll remember this the next time I feel bored playing folk tunes around the campfire!
Subconscious Blocks from Trauma, Abuse, Loss
For many years I have worked with clients suffering the results of trauma, abuse, loss, or the “dark night of the soul”. You may have read about some of these cases. This morning a client reminded me of one aspect that I’ve often seen when I work with these clients. I imagine that most practitioners are aware of what I will describe, however many others may not be aware of how our subconscious mind can take over our life and will actually change our personality at times. When people are in “survival mode” they often are unable to set high goals, prioritize what they need, ask for help, or even give gratitude to their supporters. Here are some cases:
- Often clients who come to me with severe physical ailments consider getting healthy as a low priority when asked to list their highest intentions. After clearing underlying causes of their afflictions – especially involving abuse and self-criticism, and supporting them to feel more “worthy” of being healthy, they then are able to place health as a high priority. This is a regular pattern. Of course, logically health should have been a priority from the beginning, however it was masked by their subconscious perception of not being worthy.
- Other clients suffering loss of a loved one often get so caught in the cycles of melancholy, remorse, and self-criticism, that they find it almost impossible to consciously utilize their self-help tools (like EFT tapping) when they feel bad. They find themselves in a vicious cycle of emotional pain and don’t seem to have the inner will to help themselves. It may take a few sessions, but when they get beyond the inner criticism, fear, doubt, and guilt about their predicament, then tapping can become a regular tool that they use successfully.
- Other clients who feel somewhat desperate are very open to receive free help, and after a session will feel elated and grateful for the work. Soon after a facilitated session, however they might fall back into their own painful emotional abyss, where they are unable to help themselves, and unable to show gratitude or ask for further support. The inner desperateness of struggling to survive overrides their rational thought process as it also negates good manners in sharing gratitude to others for the support they receive. Soon the friends and helpers distance themselves from a seemingly ungrateful person.
- A client may hire a coach or support person with intentions to get guidance to reach some goals, and when self-sabotage shows up as an old pattern, then the client might drop away from that support person in search of someone new. After using a long series of coaches, EFT practitioners, or learning multiple self-help therapies, at some point it might become obvious to the client that he or she is merely hiring “rent-a-friends” to make it seem that inner work is being performed and goals are being worked toward, while in reality this is just an outer facade and the inner subconscious is deathly afraid of going near the real issues blocking personal success. In the best cases the client listens to the feedback about this and accepts it. In the worst cases the person just continues to search for the magic bullet via helper after helper. This can get quite expensive.
So, it seems that we often block ourselves in many ways from succeeding – even when it seems obvious to everyone else. The subconscious mind is a powerful blocker whose main job is to protect us from being hurt, disappointed, set up to fail, so it blocks us from even getting close sometimes.
In cases like the above I always realize that it is necessary to delve much deeper into the life and emotional blockages of the client, and I continue to enjoy the use of meridian-based modalities that allow this work to be done easily, quickly, and painlessly. Life is so much better with these tools available!
Living with Gluten Intolerance & Food Allergies
My life would have been quite different and much less painful, if I had known of my corn and gluten sensitivities earlier in life.
Growing up I suffered all of the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, plus I had very bad acne during high school that definitely damaged my self esteem. I just thought this was normal until I started getting arthritis in my thumbs when I turned twenty. As a professional flautist, this was very serious. And I had developed severe back problems by then, which I based on a horse-back riding fall when in high school.
In my thirties I was checked out for food allergies by a chiropractor/ clinical kinesiologist. He immediately identified a corn allergy. A few years later I also developed a wheat & gluten intolerance.
Whenever I eat anything with corn oil my face immediately breaks out in pimples. Corn starch causes my neck to go out and I get an immediate headache. Corn syrup gives me whole-body aches & pains so severe that sometimes I can hardly walk.
Wheat and gluten products leave me with aches & pains and often a sense of mind fuzziness like a drinking hang-over.
I choose to steer clear of all of these so that I can live a pain-free active life… which is what I experience when I stay away from all corn and wheat and other gluten products. And, I also notice that the more meridian tapping and N- EFT that I do, the more often I can cheat on my non-corn/non-gluten diet without suffering.
So, whenever I work with somebody who has chronic joint or bone pain, fuzziness, plus other symptoms, I first ask if they have been tested for grain allergies. If you feel tired after a meal, then I invite you to investigate what you have eaten that causes your body to try to shut down. You should be energized after eating!
I hope my own experiences are helpful. I’ve always been an active and athletic person… and I plan to stay that way for the rest of my life!
Life After Doubt
Today’s blog provides a perspective on a very timely topic for many people globally. I highly agree with the beliefs about the power of getting beyond inner fear and doubt as stated by the guest writer, and would like to add that moving past the realm of doubt is something that energy psychology and meridian tapping can very successfully support. Many readers may relate to Joseph’s faith-based model, whether this is faith in a Higher Power or Higher Self.
Guest writer: Joseph Ngonidzashe Zvoushoma (Zimbabwe)
Article taken from: September 2010 Global Leadership News – see below for more information.
Many of us live and hibernate in an unknown realm of doubt, a disposition that is full of uncertainty and fear, a realm that has conquered the lives of many and shattered their dreams. Doubt is a state of mind like many other invisible forces of life, it is however a “double standard mindset”, where an individual believes it is possible today but due to changing circumstances the individual firmly believes it impossible the next day. Doubt has become the devil of our age, aborting dreams and visions that can make this world a better place. On the subject of doubt Saint James had this to say, “For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” Doubt is simply a gate way to scarcity, poverty, lack and greed. It is synonymous with fear, they are a dangerous pair, where there is a doubt fear manifest and fear itself is an expression of doubt!
I want to introduce the reader to a higher life, a better realm to live in; it is a life of faith. Many individuals have defined faith differently and in this article I will define it my way, Faith is: Fear Ain’t In The Head. Faith is the only cure for doubt, it casts out fear and it believes everything is possible. Faith sees visions and dreams coming to pass, it accepts the presence of adverse circumstances but refuses to be intimated and subdued, faith is a conqueror better than nuclear forces, yet so many individuals live in mediocrity simply because they have refused and failed to embrace this powerful force as a companion and an inspirer. According to James Allen, in the nineteenth century, he wrote the following words in As a Man Thinketh, “Circumstances do not make a man, they reveal him”, what are you revealing to the world, a being of faith or fear, do not let circumstances define who you are.
Those who live in doubt never seem to make progress in all the vital aspects of life, they are ever sinking, people of faith have a flow in life, things seem to work for them in perfect order simply because they know who they are, they are more than conquerors, they are victors and not victims in this world, they see themselves as legacy makers with a desire to make this world a better place, they are no cowards when it comes to life.
It is high time we cast off the burden of doubt away from our beautiful lives; let’s tap into the realm of faith, a realm of success, abundance, progress and prosperity, it is a higher life, one which lies beyond doubt. Relocate to a better world, no financial obligations needed just your will, persistence and determination. You deserve better because you are a success, so act in faith everyday.
